Well hello everyone.
it has been quite some time since the last time i wrote anything, and i have a few minutes at lunch to fill you all in with what's been going on since my last blog. For starters, i bought a new car, i went with the bug...it's so me it's crazy. i love it. and my dad went out and bought me a plastic flower for it, he's so sweet. he said he was sitting in vancouver having coffee with my mom and there was a bug parked outside that had a flower in it. and he decided that mine needed on too. Now when i first bought my car i didn't think i would do the whole flower thing because i thought it was really dumb. but my dad dragged my mom out to a flower store and picked out a pretty good one so now i drive around with my flower. and dad did well - he bought a HUGE flower cause he knows i like everything to be really oversized. he's great.
Secondly (and most importantly) i bought a house!!! after looking for four months, and getting outbid one a few i finally found THE ONE! i walked through it during an open house and litterly laughed when i got there...i was like, this is so unbelievably me it's not even funny. And the crazy part is that when i went to put an offer in, i was the only bidder! like when does that happen in this market?? so crazy. Anyways, it's in good old East Kildonan and it only 8 minutes away from my parents house so when i drop my dog off there for doggie care during the days it's not super far. im pretty pumped about that. it is so perfect and i take posession on sept 15th. i can't wait. love it. The only problem is my office is moving in october to the airport. not joke, the airport. it is litterly in our backyard. I'll be happy for the extra space for everyone, but come on, it's soo far!
Anyways, that is all for now, i will post pics on facebook later of the before and after of my house...my furniture is going to blow that house away...

hello again. so i am back in winnipeg...sigh. cancun was probably one of the best trips i have ever been on. i would say the best part was getting to hang out with mel, get drunk, watch the beautiful men who worked by the pool, and just plan relax, all the while sitting in the sun. and for those of you who were wondering, yes i did indeed get a tan. however, it was a tan for my skin...which means i still looked ghostly pale, but i do actually have tan lines. so yuppie for me. at least when im 80 i won't have crazy wrinkles.
so i get home late on saturday night, and i crashed into my bed and slept pretty much all day sunday. then monday it was back at work. then monday night i had to cram for an exam i had to take on tuesday morning. well..i ended up studying for about 30 mintues, then watched the bachelor and the city, then went to bed. of course i planned on waking up early tuesday morning to study, but i slept in. but the exam went pretty well i thought, i guess i'll know more when i get the results in. but like seriously...it's my last class before i graduated. i could care less.
anyhoo, so i have a plumber comming on thursday (tommorow) to fix my toilet which has been broken for about 6 months or so, and i need to clean my room like yesterday. it's honestly really gross. i can't remember the last time i vacummed. or dusted. so anyways, i was like, wednesday night for sure i'll clean it. but then i forgot that im babysitting my nieces and newphew tonight. hahaha. great. so now i don't know when on earth im going to have time to clean up. then my dad tells me that he's re-doing the whole basement starting like this week, and the guy who he's hiring to rip it apart is comming to look at it tonight! so...my room is really gross and im quite embarrased about it. and when they are re-doing the basement that means i have to move up to one of the bedrooms upstairs, and the only one my mom will let my dog live in is the tinest one. and i have alot of stuff. so that's something to look forward to.
also im in the market for a house. i've been looking, but i think im going to wait untill after the summer. not the best time, but my parents say i need to wait untill after cabin season b/c in the summer they are gone from thursday night to monday night and they need me to still be living there so i can watch the house. isn't that nice. forget my plans to move out in spring. i guess i'll be moving out in the fall. oh well, at least this way i can buy a new car and have it paid off before i move. on that note, im still confused as to which one to buy...i think it's between a vw bug or a honda element. the element is more practical, but it's also alot bigger, and i don't do well in big vechicles...

ok.so. i am leaving for mexico in 2 sleeps. and i haven't packed yet, haven't even started to attempt to, haven't done any laundry, haven't cleaned the house from top to bottom, and haven't worked out in a good week and 1/2. yup. and my ridiculously pale skin is making me lement the fact that i wanted to save money and not tan. and when i tried my black bathing suit on yesterday, my skin was glowing. as in when the sun hits the snow in winter and the snow hurts the eyes cause it's soo damn bright. yup. that is what my skin looks like. im afraid planes will start to land on the beach in cancun because they will catch a glimps of me. but what can you do right?
also im going to be flying alone which is never fun, and i couldn't get a direct flight of course because they are too damn expensive, so instead im stopping off in minnapolis, which is alright except i hate layovers, and i have to pick up my bag from baggage claim and then put it on a different trolly which will then escort my luggage to my cancun connecting flight. so basically if i screw this up, i will be in cancun but my luggage will not. yup.
but on the plus side i am very excited to sit on the beach all day and drink. this vacation is MUCH needed! however, i have a mid-term on the 3rd when i get back, so sometime during my lazing around in mexico i need to find time to study 6 chapters when i just bought the text book yesterday. smart kristen, very smart.

hello everyone. so it has been awhile, once again since the last entry. and i have moved up to the front office at work, and therefore have lots of time and computer access on my hands, so i think or should hope anyways, that the entrys will become more of a regular thing.
The last time i wrote was just after the new year. me and mel went out to the bar with some friends, got kinda drunk, danced up a storm, and then i sent her on her way. well actually she left on a plane, but same thing.
also around this time, i started dating this guy. my brother-in-law works with him and thought we'd hit it off. so it was my first blind date, and i was pretty nervous, but it turned out ok. and then we went out a second time right before new years. we played pool and he won one game, and i won one, so i bet him that the loser of the next game has to pay for dinner. and he ended up losing, wither on purpose or not i can't say - he sunk the eight ball. now he plays in a pool league so i assumed he knew what he was doing, but it was a wild shot so..anyways, regardless, he ended up buying dinner. which was great. the only thing better then dinner is free dinner.
then we decided to see a moose game later on in the week. i also gave him a test - if he texted me on new years, then he was interested. because you see, we had already seen each other the day before new years and exchanged happy new years wishes. so i went out of town with mel for new years, but when i turned my phone back on in the city - there it was. a message from him. he passed the test...or so i thought.
then we go to the moose game a few days later and all is good. we're joking and laughing and such. then we are driving home and he's like, "hey, do you want to do something else?" and i say, "ya do you just want to go watch a movie at my place." so we do. and we're sitting on a love seat couch pretty close and yada yada yada, the movie goes on and...he doesn't make a move. i was like, what? ok, maybe he's waiting till he leaves. so the movie's done, and i get up to take it out of the player, and expect him to get up and get ready to leave. but no. he remains seated. so i go back down and sit beside him. ok now i made sure that i was sitting facing him, and the lights are still off, and the moonlight is pooring in through the window, and how could this not be a better setting for some serious action. but no, we just end up talking for another 20 mintues or so, and believe me there was ackward pauses applently and all he had to do was lean over...anyways, as he was leaving he was like, "ok..well...ok..." and i of course said the same thing. and still nothing. and then he left. i was shocked. not to sound cocky or anything, but that has NEVER happened to me. like i mean NEVER. how can somebody just not make a move! so i was wiered out, and that was the last time we went out. we texted a few times, and made concrete plans awhile back, but the dumbass texted me like 2 hours before we were supposto go out and said he was staying in, but really wanted to hang out next weekend. i was like, ha - don't think so. i mean talk about mixed messages! first him seems all into it, then after the movie he's suddenly not? strange stuff...
so the moral of this story is, jump a guy right away because at least if it doesn't work out, you get to make-out for alittle while. and let's face it, alittle action never hurt anyone. and then once that is accomplished, you can kick him to the curb. oh snap.

Alright, so apparently the last time i blogged was back in october of 08. And i can say that now cause it's january of 09. january 2nd that is. So what all has happened in my life since october? well, stay awhile and i shall give you the short version:
Basically november was spent with my nose in my books, and i finished exams on the 5th of december. so now what does a girl do with a full month off you ask? work full time of course. so i have been folding and washing linen since then, all the gloriousness of it shining through. at least the mouse population is in hibernation, so it's not so bad. And today i am in the front office so i have lots of free time to blog and be bored and stalk on the internet because apparently we are one of the only places open today so nobody has been calling in. phew. and soon i will read my book, that is if i don't fall asleep first.
So mel came back into town a few weeks ago and life has been crazy busy. but SO enjoyable. And christmas was pretty much awesome because my family rocks. on tuesday night (the 23rd), my folks and i are having dinner. so i decided to nag them AGAIN about getting a treadmill. and of course my dad ended up saying that no one was going to use it, and it was too much money, blah blah blah. so i end up getting really mad and told them i was just going to go out and buy it myself if they were too cheap to do it. And then i go into the basement to change and what is sitting there with a bow on it? yup. the treadmill. now don't i feel stupid.
And under the tree was more goodies, like a trip to mexico with mel. soooo pumped. it's gonna be killer. and i got a coffee maker from my brother-in-law which im ridiculously excited for. and of course starbucks coffee. excellent.
And new years was a blast - went to mel's uncle's cabin. snowmobiled for the day, had a fantastic time!
And now that you're all caught up that just leaves tonight and tommorow - me and mel's one last hurrah. a good bye to winnipeg if you will. and because we are saving the best for last, im sure i will have LOTS to blogg about...lol...just you wait and see.
